Imset intramedullary plug

The biodegradable IMSET medullary cavity plug for orthopedic purposes is used to seal the medullary cavity of a long bone prior to injection of bone cement with the following aims: 

• To prevent the bone cement from penetrating deep in the diaphysis 
• To enable the compression and penetration of the bone cement in the cancellous bone
