Metronidazole 500mg/100ml Solution for Infusion is indicated for the treatment
of anaerobic infections in which the bacteria have been identified or are suspected
as the cause of the infection. Metronidazole 500mg/100ml Solution for Infusion
is active against Bacteroides spp, Fusobacteria, Clostridia, Eubacteria and
anaerobic cocci.

Metronidazole 500mg/100ml Solution for Infusion can also be used in:
The treatment of septicaemia, bacteraemia, brain abscess, necrotising pneumonia,
osteomyelitis, puerperal sepsis, peritonitis, pelvic abscess and post-operative
wound infections from which pathogenic anaerobes have been isolated.
The prevention of post-operative infections due to anaerobic bacteria.
